This year’s event focuses on building and managing community partnerships; HEA 1309: Home-based vending rules and regulations; SNAP solutions for markets. The annual Farmers’ Market Forum, hosted by Purdue Extension and the Indiana Cooperative Development Center, is a chance for market managers, agencies, fiscal sponsors, food safety agents, farmers and consumers to network and learn during this day-long workshop. Attendees from last year indicate that they have improved their market as a result of the forum including implementing SNAP acceptance, introducing activities for kids and groups, social media marketing, establishing a farmers’ market financial organization and improved communications with their local health department.
