A Conversation with Cindy Hawkins

Circle City Sweets - Boulangerie is my favorite kind of business—not simply because it produces delicious French pastries and breads, but because it’s a family affair. The sugar cookies made in the shop are from the same recipe a young Hawkins learned from her mother. These days, Hawkins’s mom helps out at the shop by decorating the cookies to be sold. Next door to Circle City Sweets is Circe City Soups, which is run by Cindy’s husband, Roger.
